So I dont know much about Radeon cards or there equalness to GeForce..
I was just curious as to which Radeon card would be about equal to the 8800 or how to distinguish how good they are ?.. if that makes sense.

Ok.
I just have the ancient 6600. In for an upgrade real bad. and if I want to upgrade that then I got to go for the bundle and get a new motherboard and cpu too. Would an onboard 7150 be better than my 6600? atleast for the time being to get more money for video card. |

there are on top of my head.
there's the HD3850 and the 2600XT from ATi. the 7600GT and GS from Nvidia a whole new build is better.

if your cpu is passable i would upgrade the card, since 3850 is pretty good. otherwise definitely build from scratch.
