Default Whats the difference?

So I dont know much about Radeon cards or there equalness to GeForce..

I was just curious as to which Radeon card would be about equal to the 8800 or how to distinguish how good they are?.. if that makes sense.

hd3870 would go against the 8800gt but the 8800 is better.

Ok.

I just have the ancient 6600. In for an upgrade real bad. and if I want to upgrade that then I got to go for the bundle and get a new motherboard and cpu too.

Would an onboard 7150 be better than my 6600? atleast for the time being to get more money for video card.

Nooo! The 7150 would be MUCH worse then your current 6600.

there are on top of my head.

there's the HD3850 and the 2600XT from ATi.
the 7600GT and GS from Nvidia

a whole new build is better.

if your cpu is passable i would upgrade the card, since 3850 is pretty good. otherwise definitely build from scratch.
