Arrow Cannot boot up ACER LAPTOP

Hi guys,

please please can you help me.

i bought a acer laptop second hand, windows vista.
i just switched it on and realised its asking me for a setup password, which i do not know. so please could anyone tell me is there any way for me to re-install windows becz password is unknown. The thing is it is not asking me for a windows password but for setup password which comes up as soon as its in the booting process..

waiting for any kind suggestions plzzz....

Tried to contact the person you bought it off???

What did you get with the purchase?? any windows discs???

Nothing to do with Windows. Can you get into the bios? If so go to HDD section and make sure password protect is off and if it's on turn it off and if the problem stll persists do with cohen replied.

hhmm... didn't think of another OS.... i don't know much about the other OSs and have never used them before.
