ConvertXToDVD is a good program. It takes a little while though, but it's pretty good quality. I normally start it, walk away, come back an hour or 2 later and it's done. It doesn't really bother me unless I need the DVD right away, but if I make it in advance it's not a problem.
There's a trial version but it does include a watermark. Nothing that can't be handled though.............

I use ulead videostudio 10 plus. It's kind of expensive, but has a lot of features, and can burn blue-ray. I think there's a new version out now.
