12v rails are driving me nuts, power supp. question

I went to asus' pc powersupply calc.
I bought a 1600w ultra x3 today with 117a on the 12v rail

Wow 40a only, I would have expected more, heck my old x1950 Pro wanted 28a. I would agree a single line is better, but I don't know of a PSU with a single line rating of 40a. Very few PSU's cross 20 on single lines.

Wow dude that's a HUGEEE overkill. Seriously, your computer is going to draw maybe 1/3 of what that can pump out at MAX load.
