Default Do I / Will I need blu-ray R/W?

I was wondering if it were worth the extra money to get a laptop with Blu-Ray R/W. I'm not a huge movie person (regular looks perfect to me) but will there be a large format change in all things like game discs to where it would benefit me to upgrade? I'll be getting it about 6 months from now so I guess I could wait and see but I would like some opinions for now. (I also assume it will be a bit cheaper to add on later).

On second thought, I doubt games would use one unless they had A LOT of stuff with them.

At this point I wouldn't do it. Blu ray burners are very expensive and unless you're going to start pirating blu ray movies and selling them in bel air where people actually have players it's not worth it. Wait until the prices decrease drastically. Remember when we didn't have dvd burners? It'll take some time and they drain a battery worse than dvds. Games are going to be slow to move especially with game manufacturers still having trouble with the ps3. That may be the only reason to move is to get free games for the ps3 but of course that's illegal and frowned upon.

Do not go out and buy one now! You don't need one now.... you can get one when the prices come down.... but they are not worth it now
