Default what harddrive should i get

what hard drive should i get off of newegg.com it needs to be under $200

What size do you need? $200 is a bit much for a hdd, no? I only paid $120 for my 750gb with 32mb cache. It's super fast and enough room for me.

I say cut your budget even smaller unless you want a Raptor drive.

if you want speed, get a raptor, if you want storage space get two 500GB drives. stick with seagate or western digital.

there are only two mainstream speeds. if you want something fast and storage capacity doesnt matter, get this:

lots of people run a 10,000 rpm hard drive for the os and programs they run a lot and a 7200rpm for files and other programs but most people won't notice the difference between 7200 and 10000
