Default Help with graphics cards

I have all the other parts for my new build picked out except for the video card. It will be used for limited video editing and some games (I'm not looking to max out Crysis, obviously) in Windows XP.

Radeon HD 3650

Radeon HD 2600 XT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102703

Which one do you guys recommend?

the 2600xt is a really good card for the money, my friend has the HIS version (which i recommend) and he plays most games (WoW and Oblivion maxed out) on high or very high. if you get the 2600xt get the HIS version, it has the highest rated cooler on the market. almost as good as an 8800gt but its $100 ($80 after rebate)

I don't need something that's great at gaming, and I would like to keep things under $80 because of a limited budget. What about the two cards that I listed?

"Almost as good as a 8800Gt" who are you kidding?
Specs: 8800gt,Dx10,512mb (256Bit) 650mhz clock speed
2600xt,Dx10,512Mb (128bit) 400mhz clock speed
I don't think so The 8800Gt smoskes the HD 3870,So what makes you think the 2600xt is even match?Don't give people false hope. And those are old games!

Get the HD 3650,as it is a newer card and better technology from AMD/ATI.

ummm idk what specs you were looking at for the 2600xt i think you were looking at the 2600pro

HIS Hightech Radeon 2600XT
512mb gddr3
120 stream processors
830 mhz core clock
1920 mem clock

heres the url for it on newegg if you done believe me http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161174
plus my friend owns that exact card i know how well it performs against my own 8800GT

Be that as it may!The you cannot compare that card to the 8800Gt is like me saying my 965 is close to a Core 2 Duo E8400!Comparing apples to oranges!Hd 3870 beats 2600xt 8800gt beats hd 3870 so how is that even close?

well first off the 3870 doesnt beat the 8800gt and i can say this from first hand experience in benchmarking with fraps with my zotac 8800gt vs my friends 2600xt hes only 10 -20 fps less than me in most games, and his other specs arent better than mine in anyway: 1.8ghz athlon 939, 2gb ddr 400, and that HIS card. and look up benchmarks on youtube from the tigerdirect people on the 2600xt which they prove it is comparable to the 8800gt
