Default MSI P7N Diamond nForce 780i SLI boot problems

I guys I have major problems with my new set up. I am not able to install windows XP.

The system hangs after starting the second part of installation of windows XP (the time of crash is not the same. I notice that the main time that it hangs more than others is after the first part (copying file to HDD) of the Windows XP installation when the PC must restart and boot for the first time from windows and hangs with black screen of death.

I have done a min hardware install with just SATA DVD and HDD, Single stick 2GB ram and graphics card and still hangs with black screen of death

I put IDE CD ROM and IDE Hard drive and also hangs (fully working on other PC). Also used 3 copy of XP that are fully test on other PC and working fine. Also have change the RAM Stick to different ram and still no change.

I have run Memtest86 memory test both stick all test passed. BIOS also detects all components

I have not tested the GPU to any other machine. Do MSI have any issue with XFX hardware?

Now what is left is my GPU motherboard and CPU.

So is it possible the GPU to run and crash half way?

Can the CPU coz a problem? As far I know if the CPU is not functioning PC will not start at all on an anther forum some else had similar problem with an EVGA board and it was the motherboard.

Any ideas welcome coz I am running out of ideas here.

I am not able to change the setting in the Bios for the memory all are lock into auto? Any ideas?

According to MSI's homepage the following components should have no trouble working:
- CPU
- RAM
- HDD

Can't find info on compatibility concerning other items in your list.

I'm not sure and I hope someone else can say if it'll work but how about installing XP on the HDD on another computer and then installing the HDD in the new computer? I don't see why it should cause trouble as long as drivers aren't installed. However this may be crazy talk and I take no responsibility if you decide to test this and it ends bad.

Just a thought, are you installing XP with SP2 integrated? And how have you partitioned the HDD? Just came to think of the fact that you can't use a partition bigger than 137Gb or something like that with XP unless you have SP2 installed. I doubt it would cause this kind of issue but just to be safe.
