Unhappy No wireless network avail

I uninstalled this netgear wireless thing that I dont use anymore. I used to use it to get onto the connection of my neighbor. now i dont need it because i have a wireless network at home. when i uninstalled it, my wireless option no longer shows up. When I go to my connections i have 1340 something and my ethernet... but there is no option for wireless anymore. this shouldnt happen. the whole reason i uninstalled the netgear program is because it wouldnt allow me to use windows wireless, not to mention i didnt need it anymore. What the heck do i do?
