Default Extreme Computer Help

Hey i need a new computer, but I don't want to buy one. I has parts picked out already but they didn't even work together. This is a post for people who like to shop for computer parts.I do have some requirements. I will be using this for light gaming, web surfing, and multimedia. I only need parts named below.

Case: under $200, has to be mid tower, no power supply, lots of fans.

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128081
I want to keep this motherboard but if you can find an INTEL one just like this you can use that when you pick the other parts.

Processor: under $200

Memory: minimum of 4GB, under $150

Hard Drive: under $100, one or two drives, fast and lots of space

Graphics Card: under $150

Optical Drive: under $100, one or two, must read and write

Thank You,
Bill

P.S. I don't need moniter,mouse,keyboard,speakers; but did I miss anything.

You would be best off giving us a TOTAL max budget, instead of per component. That way we can use the entire budget to find a good mix for what you need.

For example...1-2 optical drives less than $100? You won't need anywhere close to that much money for even 2 drives, while that extra money could be spent on another component...and vice versa.

I assume we can just add up your max budget for the components to find your complete budget, but would like you to throw out a number.

You will need a power supply, and probably want an aftermarket cpu cooler as well.

No problem. You can always switch operating systems to whatever is suitable for your use.

lian-li makes cheap flimsy cases, and the 6000+ doesnt even compare to the q6600 and runs wayyyy too hot, mushkin is a so-so ram company.

how so? no reason to pick a lian-li over an antec 900 or a thermaltake, the q6600 crushes the 6000+, and from what ive read on newegg about mushkin they dont compare to OCZ, corsair, or crucial. maybe its just my bad experiences with lian li but ive had 2 of their cases and sent them both back less than a week later

"Lian-li makes cheap, flimsy cases"

Lian-li makes some of the most well regarded, QUALITY cases you can buy. They are more for the sleek, but simple look. Oh...and they aren't cheap.

"The 6000+ doesn't even compare to the Q6600"

I would take the Q6600 over the 6000+ anyday. But that statement is way too broad to just be flinging around. For example...knock off 2 of the Q6600's cores. How do they compare now? At least stock for stock? That's right.

"Mushkin is a so-so ram company"

Mushkin has been known for years to make top-notch memory. So I guess to you so-so means excellent? As compared to makes you sandwiches in the morning?
