Talking Odd Question...?

I was reading this thing on google about building a computer from the ground up. It was saying that I needed the drivers for everything before I could turn it on, I know the Video Card, and Motherboard comes with drivers but what about everything else? Are they just saying that or do I really need them? Thanks for the help.

once you have installed the OS and load up the computer... then you can install the drivers.
its not like you have to have them all before you turn it on.

i have graphics drivers, downloaded from the nvidia website.
the rest are from my motherboard drivers cd, for audio and internet.

it helps to have the drivers handy, but with most new OSes, including xp/vista, drivers are pretty easily found on the web, or at least some generic ones to get the system loaded to where you can find / install your own drivers.

Vista drivers can be tricky. I'd recommend getting online and the latest drivers.

On my P31-DS3L, I had to install network drivers, sound drivers, AND graphic card drivers...

If you have the GFX and motherboard drivers, you'll be fine.
