Default Dual VGA cable

I have an extra old LCD moniter and was thinking of using a dual moniter setup on my desk.

While searching for vid cards on ebay, i happened to see dual vga cables that go along with the Geforce FX 5200.

My question is do only certain video cards support dual moniters or would I just be able to buy the Dual VGA Y adapter and use it on my current video card?

Pretty much any video card that has two outputs can dual-monitor (VGA+VGA, VGA+DVI, DVI+DVI) and I think it may even be possible to dual-screen with onboard graphics, but don't quote me on that one.

Yup, even those cheap ones. You might need a DVI to VGA adapter though, seeing as it's a CRT.
