Exclamation I need a new motherboard~ Please Help

I need a new motherboard, because apparently mine is crap and only supports PD processors.

Here's some information on the current one.

Manufacturer - ASUSTek Computer INC.

Model - LIMESTONE 1.04

Chipset - Intel i945G/GZ (Rev. - A2)

Soutbridge - Intel 82801GB (ICH7/R)

LPCIO - SMSC

What do you reccomend? I'm going for optimal gaming. I have an 8800 GT Superclocked Edition.. and 3gb's of ram. My processor is really lacking though and it's holding my computer from it's peak. My motherboard apparantly doesn't support the higher end processors.

EDIT: As far as my budget, I just want to see what you guys recommend, I'm in no real rush or anything. I can save up.

Asus generally makes very decent to above average boards, but they also make boards for manufactured PC's by companies such as HP with neutered bios'. Which processor do you have? That's going to help answer your question.
