Smile Best Laptop? Help please

Hi newbie here..

I'm planning to buy a new laptop. My budget for the laptop is around $600 to $800. I prefer brands like Sony, HP, Toshiba and Dell.

However, I'm a little confuse on which processor is better Intel or AMD. Given same processor specification. An Intel Core 2 Duo or an AMD Turion X2?

And is the on board Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 enough to run game applications?

I have already looked at Bestbuy.com for laptops and found these items:

Toshiba Satellite ($649.99)
- Intel Core2duo 1.83Ghz, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 200 GB, Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

HP Pavilion ($649.99)
-AMD Turion 64 X2 2.0 Ghz, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M (UMA) graphics

Given this specification,

which has the better advantage?

And which has the better value for money?

which is better an Intel or AMD processor?

and Would you advice any pros and cons?

THANKS GUYS..
