I have a setup where I have run a line off my regular router from my office to my living room where I have some components that need Ethernet connections. I have an older Linksys router BESFR41 that isn’t wireless that I want to turn off the router function and make into a switch. I have done this before but forgot how to do it. I know how to get into the router using the ip address but don’t remember what to do from there? Do I need to assign a special address to the device once it becomes a switch?
Thanks for the help. |
