just got on my computer and avast warns me that a worm "VBS:Malware-gen" "http://www.yahoo.com/?fr=fptb-msgr\unp85603424" "virus/worm" is detected when opening my home page: yahoo.com... anyone else have that or is this unique to my system in which case its either my avast or there is something on my comuter.. curious to know...

I think its just avast b/c earlier today that happened with my mom's pc and avast!

hmmm... maybe running scans now avast picked up and deleted three worms so far and now yahoo.com loads... and spybot found some tracking cookies.. really wierd since i really havent been anywhere... apparently there was something on my computer though.... after i finish scanning.. maybe i can post a hjt log have you all check it out... also on spybot i got two warnings saying "there were problems in the include file C:\Programs\spybot-search_destroy Includes\Trojans.Sbi and ... \TrojansC.Sbi... see 'include errors.log' for details" i don't see that option though.. ill have to run that again..

Didnt scan it and it infected windows media player for some reason so, wmp wouldnt open and give me an error. So I got sick of it and just reformatted it and put xp pro sp3 on there instead of xp home sp1. LOL So now she's better off anyways. And I dumped avast and went with nod32. Avast seems to be a system hog lately and I previously dumped avast also and got nod32. No problems at all with nod32 so far.
