Low In Vertual Memory?
My computer says its low in virtual memory as soon as I turn it on. Why does this happen? I have Windows XP Home, and 640Mb of ram

lol i would suggest buying some more ram...
does your computer allow you to boot at all?

actually, you can run XP on 128MB of RAM, but you don't have alot of room to grow. i'm guessing you have too many programs that are trying to startup when you boot. my suggestion is to run a spyware/adware scan and remove programs from your startup using the Msconfig command. the computer should run just fine with 640MB of RAM so long as you are not running everything at once. if you like to run everything at once, you SHOULD get more RAM.

sorry for the double post, but here it is right from Microsoft's webpage:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314865 If All you youngsters think you need a gig of RAM to simply function, then you've known nothing but Vista. Vista needs all that RAM for it's nifty Aero interface and because it likes to prefetch. LittleHaiti, you'll be fine. just free up some memory and do a scan.

you will either need to buy more ram,OR Increase Virtual Memory
