Baring in mind the Resolution is 1900 x 1200?

It should do good for photoshop, but I would get it a better processor. Running CS3 with a high resolution would be better with a better processor.

TF2 won't run on that, heck at that resolution my desktop may start to struggle although I haven't tried it at that resolution.

Just save up, no laptop under £1000 will game well at that resolution.

Oh he wants to game at that resoution? No, that might do 1280 but not above that..

If not, would 1440 x 900 do?

I had a similar laptop except I had the 8600M GT, and even that could barely play TF2 on low-medium settings @ 1440x900. CSS would run on it with HDR disabled, and probably on medium settings fairly well though.
