Unhappy CPU or RAM?

Hey guys, so I made a mistake when I bought my processor for my new computer(dont ask why) So yesterday when I tested out Battlefield 2, I set everything to High except AA, and now the game at start stutters like crazy, I was disappointed. However COD4 ran wayy smoother, so what should I do? And my cheap ass mobo cant OC! :<

Now I dont have much money left, so what should I do? buy a dual core CPU or get another stick of 1 GB?

i think it has to do with both,1Gb isnt much these days, people had that much around maybe 2 years or more ago and the processor is slow.

you would have been better going with a cheaper Intel Dual core, and a 2Gb Dual channel kit ram

You just bought the A64 1600+? That thing is such a poor performer, what did you have before?

Well the LE-1600 is 2.2ghz 45 watt single core with 1mb. of L2. If you had a good board it might overclock pretty good being a 45 watt. But single cores are getting close to a dying breed. If you dont have alot of cash go for a better board first and overclock the crap out of it till you can get a better processor. That Abit board ought to have some overclocking features, just being a nForce 520 it might be limited but it should have some (overclockability (is that a word) to it.

Well...both. first of all, battlefield 2 play SUCKS A** with less then 2gb ram. my brother has 1.5GB and its better then 1 gb....but still does what you said occasionally. secondly, the proc NEEDs to be upgraded, and, this is mean but while im at it, you need a mobo you can OC with!
