Punk, do your self a favor. if you have an issue, contact ian or apj101. buzz1927 did a similar thing to me. just stop arguing with him. if you have a real issue, contact the admins.

So do the Mods have dedicated forums/selection of forums to look after or do they monitor them all? which might prove effective on smaller forum sites but on this one could prove a "bit" of a challenge

A lot of stuff is beyond my control, I cannot control every aspect of the forum and make it some kind of perfect forum.
In total there about 7 major changes/improvements/enhancements which I see as being required on this forum. They will be rolled out probably over the period of a year from when the forum hits the 1,000,000 post mark and will be gradual. Not all of them will be big or exciting, but I believe that together, they will help take the forum to the next level. And I am not disclosing those improvements. When they are implemented, I will announce them.

Argh!! I was banned for a week because of teh same thing!! I made such a great ComboFix script that made a great job and the user was ALL happy...and I was actually banned!!

Now we ( Punk and I ) are restricted to use Avenger which is not as effective as ComboFix script.

The case is Can't open HJT or REGEDIT! there.

So maybe an answer would be for forum staff to give a visual thread warning to the offenders post for everyone to be able to see and then if the warning is still not addressed, then give a formal warning or ban - whatever it calls for!
Obviously blatent abuse of the rules would be dealt with in the usual manner but at least if everyone can see what the staff are thinking , then it would give a chance for a fairer hearing(maybe) eg:

• someone posts a link to another forum within their post but it could be within an answer and therefore a possible genuine mistake
• mod/admin edit the thread-remove the link and give a "warning"(infraction) on the post"not to do it again"
• everyone gets to see that "unofficial warning"(infraction) and takes notice of it and is also reminded in their head of the forum rules.
• if that member offends again then further action would be taken as is deemed warranted.

Isn't that the way it works anyway?
