Darkserge

My friend did reload his window 2000 because he have viruses that he didnt have virus protection for years. I told him, he got that from email. Anyway, he came to my house for network for window 2000 update using my cable modom. He went home with his computer and using Netscape dial up using his dial up phone line. It got conneted, then checking username and password. The error came up and say "Error 720 PPP Control Protocols" I swap his dial up modem and install Netscape dial up on my old computer and it works. Any idea what wrong with his? Thanks
