Aaron, These days all you need to do is pass the written. Code tests are gone now. Btw, Those pics were for 160 meter tuners. Coax in and 600 ohm balanced out.

Well in aus, you have to do a Regulations, Theory and a Practical Assessment.

Needing to get my General Class and move onto HF.
Sounds pretty neat, but it's too bad about everything being stolen. Hopefully someday you will go for the General's!

Here in the USA there is only a 35 question practical (for the technician and general, 50 questions for extra). There uses to be a 5WPM CW test, but they got rid of that around 1-2 years ago.

Well they got rid of the CW around the same time.

Theory, have to get 70% pass rate.

Regulatations, have to get 70% passrate.

We need a 74% or higher to pass.

Go for it Cohen!

Aw, we luck out since we can take practice exams online, and the same questions are on the exam that are on the practice exams (pulled from a pool of around 600-800 I believe).

Did you say you could get on 15 meters though? I'm not sure how the band is doing, but it would be neat if you got on to see if I could hear you.
