Default Why am i getting bad results from read tests with my HDD?

I only recently decided to do a read test with my main hdd and was surprised at the results being so low compared to others. When I did the test I wasnt running anything on the hdd and there was no other hdd activity for the drive. Is this the standard read speed for my hdd or something? or is there something wrong? I use Perfectdisk 2008 to defrag the drive and its only like 1% fragmented too.
