Default Good MB for CF

Well I was thinking of getting a P35, but ive heard from some people that it doesnt support crossfire, is this true?

I want somthing fairly cheap, but that can run CF without any problems, and to be able to OC a CPU well. Im still chosing between the Q9300, Q6600 and E8400.

Any ideas? Am I going to have to go for the X38?

Thanks in advanced ,
Mike

It does support Crossfire according to the very bad grammar in the Asus manual for my P35 board, some boards may not run both slots at x16 though.

P35 boards have 20x lanes in total (or however you want to describe it) meaning, 1 port will run at 16x speed, while the 2nd card would only run at 4x (and yes, thats really noticable. I would suggest a X38 or X48 board indeed for crossfire

Thanks to both of you

What about this one? It says it has 2x PCI Express X16: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128083

will that work well?

If i do go with an X38/48, which one should I get? I dont want to go overboard on the price, this is the most expensive I would be willing to put out for it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128089

Thanks,
Mike

That for sure! (i would have gotten that one if it were out when i got my ds4)

The Pxx boards don't do x16/x16 crossfire, the x38 does.
