I recently caught a virus on my home computer and it disabled my cd drives. The drives show up in my device manager but they have a yellow circle and an exclamation mark in it. In the device status box it says that the drivers were loaded but the drivers could not find the item. I have tried everything. I was told to take the battery out of the motherboard, change the cmos settings and then switch them back, replace the wires and cables for the drive which I did but still I can't use them. Someone said it might have did something to the motherboard but he wasn't sure what it might have been. Just wondering if anyone else might have had a similar incident and maybe able to help me. Thanks for looking.
