Default Memory Limit on Windows MEdia Center

Ok i remember a while back someone saying on this forum that windows media center edition wont recognize anything above 2 gb of memory

is that true?

I have an amd athlon 3700 with two 512 mb sticks and two empty slots
i was thinking of getting two 1 gb sticks...should I just get one then?
