Exclamation IBM T40 battery light stays when laptop off!

Does anyone know why the battery light stays on after I have switched the laptop off?

I have tried different batterys and it's still the same!

Isn't it supposed to? My compaq's battery light stays on whenever the machine's plugged in, whether it was on or not. I don't think you're supposed to get troubled over that.

Have you update the drivers on the laptop?

Make sure the light isn't cracked and the drivers are fully updated. If not buy a new one.
