probably doesnt help to have spent how many billions on the war thanks to bush, i think if we left the middle east alone it might work out better, its like veitnam, and its not like some army thats been there for 7 or 8 years is going to sort something out thats been going on for thousands of years edit: this is in response to what ukulele said

you can't stop hatred and indifference rooted on someone's culture, only they can stop it.
our bombings spawn more hatred. Hussein needed to go, but we went in so sloppily and pathetically, we used a third of the recommended troops, we held no-bid auctions for contracts (costing an estimated 150% extra for parts, ammo, etc) and we neglected the culture of the people we were dealing with.
hopefully sometime we'll all realize that there's nothing more powerful than emotion... you can buy, kill, threaten and torture all you want, but a strong mind and will can never be overcame, only strengthened...

Did you edit that quote? I see this..

Quote:
Britain is doubling its aid to Pakistan to almost £500 million
But this is The Times..

It also says that more than half will be spent on education, which in that part of the world can only be a good thing.

Stop thinking about yourself and think about everyone. Do you really believe they don't need that money? They've had many earthquakes, a big one recently (last year or two years ago I believe), the middle class is as poor as your homeless in UK.

Your life is horrible, you got a PC, a roof and you go to school. Do you even know what life is there?

I do think that afghanistan/iraq are doing better then they would have been if bush hadnt sent troops in but i still dont agree that he should of. The US needs to stop trying to solve other countries problems.
