How do I preform master/slave with an external hard drive and my computer. Now, I have read some information on it, but it seems to apply to an internal drive. My exHD is a Seagate 250GB and my computer is a Gateway. Any suggestions are helpful. thanks

So you want your external hard drive to become a master or a slave??

Master, is not the best thing to do,

Slave, just plug it in as normal.

Umm you only do this master/slave stuff on IDE(PATA) drives. Sata/external drives...no.

What exactly would you need this kinda setup for?
