new mother board x48 ds4 gigabyte mother board

i have no overclocked my E4500 it is stock 2.2Ghz why is this happening?

i bought a gigabyte x48-ds4 mother board today and i have played team fortess 2 (not the worlds hardest game)

returning this mother board to Dabs would be a big big big pain in the ass as i really want this to work

any way it thinks my cpu is 46C idle and 55 to 60C on TF2 and my whole computer has crashed about 3 times

my old mother board was 650i

why is this happening? everythign was fine before my new mobo no while system crashes nothing

im sure i have placed the thermal past i spreaded it with my finger and a plastic bag over it
and the fan correctly

please help

u spread thermal paste with ur fingers? ... i'd say take off your cpu cooler .. scrap off all ur thermal paste then put on a real small amount and spread it with a stanly knife blade.. you don't want much thermal paste on there .. the more you have on the worst it is .. but u just want a little bit to fill in the gaps ..

also make sure the ram is compatiable with that motherboard...

otherwise you could have damaged your cpu in the processes .. im sure its not the mobo problem

my best guess is that you have too much termal paste
