Default Ubed up Laptop please

I'm looking to have a nice laptop that pwns. I'm going to use it mostly for doing work like on Photoshop, After Effects, Flash & Dreamweaver type stuff. Some of the programs need a lot of power to run without lag. I hate slow computers and for once I'd love to have one that is very fast and won't lag when I work. I don't care how big it is as I will only be using it on my couch and won't be transporting it anywhere. I'm from America. Brand doesn't matter much to me. Looks not so much. I'd love a big screen to encompass as much of my projects as I can. I'd love a lot of hard drive space to store my videos. I'd like a pretty decent quality graphics card...I want a strong computer most of all...loading, processing won't lag, become unresponsive due to overload of things its processing. Thanks in advance!

Spending limit 1,200-1,500 would be good

2.0 is not a slow core2duo speed for the price range.. Have you researched anything?
Desktop processors can get around 3.0-4.0ghz but that has nothing to due with laptop's core2duo processors.

This laptop has a 2.4ghz processor, which is the same as my $2000 laptop but for less, has a large hard drive and good card. Also a large screen.

Actually, I"m browsing that website and it's really cool...they have a sweet arse search option.

But the thing is....I don't know what half the jargon on the specs are suppose to be for! lol

How's this guy look to you? It almost looks to good to be true. What are your thoughts on it.

The asus from newegg.com is a really good deal. It has a HUGE desktop size hard drive, a normal size screen, great processor and graphics card. I was looking at 17" screens, but the 15.4inch screen is normal sized, and that laptop is great.
