Okay, so whenever I click with the mouse wheel on the search button on the google toolbar (using ff by the way) it opens multiple instances of the same tab. The same thing happened with a different mouse so I really doubt that's the problem. Any ideas?

^ Yep. I've always had some kind of trouble with toolbars that allow yout to open pages in different tabs. It's best to just get a browser that supports tabbed browsing natively (Any version of firefox, IE7,...)

i don't see the point of the toolsbars, add blocker can be done in firefox, get firefox 3 and you should be fine!

No...I use firefox 3. And I use google toolbar for FF. I like google toolbar. My problem is that if I middle click on the search button next to the toolbar to open the search results in a new tab. Sometimes it opens 3 or 4 tabs. It doesn't happen if I middle click on anything else (I'm talking about clicking with the mouse wheel by the way) only with google toolbar. I've tried reinstalling it. Again. I. Like. Google toolbar.

There should be a way to disable tabs on google toolbar (so you'd only end up using the "real" firefox tabs)

I don't think you guys understand what I'm talking about...I am using the real tabs, google toolbar has no tabs, but if I'm say, watching a movie on youtube and something interests me and I want to know more about I'll type it into the google toolbar and then click with the mouse wheel and it opens the results in a new tab. It's the same as wheel clicking on a link to open it in a new tab.
