Hi,

I consider myself an intermediate-to-advanced computer use, but for some reason, I cannot get the hang of scanning documents.

If you want to scan a document (letter size) so the recipient can view it on the computer and also print it, how is that done?

It is showing up very large on the screen which is ok can be resized, but the major problem is when printed on paper it is incredibly large and doesn't fit.

So I'm resorting to scanning the document then re-sizing it to the pixel equivalent of 8.5x11 inches, then printing, but then the document is smaller than normal.

Quite frustrating.

If someone could kindly let me know the "proper" way to scan documents, I'd really appreciate it.

I need to scan some documents and send to a paralegal (since I don't have a fax machine), so it's important to do it correctly.

Also, is it more appropriate to save such scans are GIF or JPG files?
