I’m thinking of upgrading my CPU in my HP dv9653cl from a T7500 2.2 g to either a T7800 or a T9300 because I can get these for around $300 each more or less $30. My question is which of these CPu’s are compatible to my computer if any at all, below are my and below them is the spec’s of the two CPU’s I’m looking at buying.
T7500 2.2 ghz L1 cache 64 L2 4.096 Bus Speed:800 MHz System board ID 30CB Version 79.2b It reads dv9500 but auto-detection on HP site reads computer as dv9653cl T9300 CPU Speed: 2.50 GHz Bus Speed:800 MHz Bus/Core Ratio:12.5 L2 Cache Size: 6 MB L2 Cache Speed: 2.5 GHz T7800 CPU Speed:2.60 GHz ? On the site it says it's a 2.6 but I'm not sure. Bus Speed:800 MHz Bus/Core Ratio: 13 L2 Cache Size: 4 MB L2 Cache Speed: 2.6 GHz Any help in getting me up and running would be greatly appericated. Also be sure that your CPU can be upgraded I think that can only happen in barebones so check with HP and make sure it doesn't void your warrenty.
