I was thinking, we have the superpi scores in the cpu's and overclocking, we should have a hdd benchmark in the hard drive part of the forum. I found a nifty little program thats a halfway decent bench on hdd read/write speeds, so i think everyone should post up a screeny of what they get with it and what hard drive(s) they have. You can download HdTach Here. Im thinking we should all do the Long Bench(the 32mb one) so that results are all comparable. (Sorry if this wouldnt be the right forum, but the super pi one is in the cpu's and ocin forum, so it seems as though a hdd bench would go in the hdd/memory forum.) I'll Start:
Note: To run on vista it needs to be set as run as administrator, and also needs to be run in compatibility mode for Xp service pack 2. ![]() And im running twin 7200.11 500gb Seagate Barracuda's in Raid 0 with 32mb of cache each.
