Woot! I may have a job!

Well, today was my first day. My first task was to overhaul a dino-Dell Precision 300. The guy wanted to give it to his son. All he had were the original disks and an XP Pro upgrade. I sat around for an hour formatting the HDD and installing XP. My second task was imaging an HP DC5100MT. The guy didn't have an image for it - I tried several images and ended up sitting through another XP installation. While those sat working, I began on a laptop that the owner said an error came up on bootup. I turned it on; all was fine. Then I got tall these ".dll Not Found" errors. They came from AOL. the owner doesn't use AOL so I uninstalled that. Norton was spitting out another error at me so I waited. All of a sudden one of those taskbar strippers came out and started dancing. I began to ROFL. I used CCleaner to try and egt Norton to shut up and as the temp and internet history came up, all these porn sites went by. It drive me nuts. Well, I fiddled with that for a while and moved onto trying to find drivers for the damn HP. that took me 30 minutes till I found the right one. I then had to rip a CD burner out of a Dell server some old lady was using for a desktop. That CD burner went into the HP. I imaged that bitch and went right to the next one. I feel like I really didn't do much today. (Sorry for one long paragraph - my enter key isn't working.)

so .... the shop uses 2nd hand parts to put into other machines ....Nice

Well my boss heard me laugh and eh came in and asked what was so funny so I showed him. He thought it was pretty amusing.
