Default graphics card and memory

Which is more important for getting graphic design done in hurry, video graphics card or system ram. Can both be dedicate or just the graphics card.
What is the difference between shared and dedicated and what is this one? How do you tell if they are shared or dedicated?

Dedicated ram is ram on the video card which is better

If is it shared, then the video card uses ram.

That build there is nice, that is a good system for designing.

How much is it?

I don't much about forums so if I don't get this right, please tell me what I do wrong so I can get it right the next time.
I am paying $2641.00 I think. I am getting from HP but they promised me all of it was dedicated and nothing was shared.
I have had some bad experiences with DELL which makes me not trust anyone.
I have a dell here right now that has 8 gb ram, 768 GB FX 4600 card, and 3.2 GHz processor but it was giving me oodles of riser and dimm errors. So I got scared and decided to order something else.

Can the 8 GB of ram be dedicated or just the card? Am I reading you right when I assume this one is dedicated? You said it was good system for design but never told me if it was dedicated. Sorry I am so dumb.

OK i see, are you able to build yourself, with $2,500 you can do better than that, and never go for dell

Now ram, is different, it is use for program, the 8GB of ram is way to much, lol, anyway, that is a lot ram, and you will be able to have a lot of programs open with that. Explains more about RAM here.

You graphics card has a dedicated 1GB of ram on it, and that is high, that is really good, 1GB is the highest as far as i know.

If you were to build you could get something even better than what you are planning on ordering.

And your not dumb, your not like one us where we know everything, your a newbie and that is what we are here.

Anything else i can help you with?

Well, I replied to this once but lost it before it got sent.
No, I am not able to build and could not find anyone to build for me that would offer onsite warranty. I need that because being disabled I cannot pack things up and send them out.
No there is a 1.5 GB card out now but it is EXPENSIVE.
As for DELL, I agree. They FIBBED to me exactly 7 times about things and I have had my fill. I thought they were turning my payments in to the Experian Business Bureau. They said when you bought under your business name, they would, but they never. They also raised my limit to $10,000 without me asking and when I got scared of this "monster" I have now, I decided I would go ahead and order another one so I would not be without too long. I still had over $4,500 open to buy. THEY REFUSED MY ORDER!! They took my credit away after they were the ones that raised it. That plus many other "UNTRUTHS", just kind of sewed me up with them. If I ever buy anything else from them, it will be a printer. (Know any good colorlaser priners?)
Now I have DELL's computer and they have to report my $5264 that I paid them over two years ago for another set before they get this new computer back. They also have to send me a letter saying they my balance will go to $0 and my credit limit will be restored. If they don't do this, they are going to have to fight me for it. I am sure they will get it eventually but as I said, they will fight me for it. My credit score is excellent at both business and personal bureaus. My middle score 756 and my score at Exp Business is 95%. I hate to ruin it but I have to show DELL they cannot get by with what they did. I am too old to need any more credit and I have oodles of cards anyway. If i was able, I would sue them.
Thank you for all your info. You have been quite helpful. I will hang around this board a lot now that I ahve found it.
