Nvidia 8500GT Super/ Aero issues

Does the 8500GT work with aero in Ultimate?

I ask because I have a 7300GS which works fine but the 8500GT (on my other machine with same mobo/cpu/Ram specs) will not bring up the appropriate menu options associated with Aero !! eg:

Window switching
dreamscene content

I keep getting the "Windows dreamscene cannot start" notification in system tray and when I try window switching , it behaves as if it's using a too low spec card by bringing up the selection box in middle of screen instead of doing the aero window switching

The Vista performance score for graphics is 4.8 and I have updated to the latest driver on the 8500GT but still no joy.... any ideas?

It should do! Maybe take it out and re-seat it?

it should do like danny said,damn even my old radeon 9600 ran aero fine lol

I knew it SHOULD work as my 7300GS works fine and that's only a 3.0 on the vista score!! as opposed to the score of 4.8 for the 8500GT, so I tried the Omega driver instead with no further luck and then finally uninstalled the card and drivers completely from vista-rebooted-reinstalled and still recieved a Dll error but at least the card was now giving me the aero effects apart from the dreamscene part

Maybe the card just isn't 100% vista compatable
