I use an Acer Aspire. I have a wireless PCI card in it. I have a Belkins G router and it is plugged into my DSL modem. Some what often I have a connection to my router, but my internet won't hook up. Even more strange, my computer will be hooked up to the internet one moment, but then the next I can't get back online. My modem shows that I have the internet, but my computer won't hook up through the router? Any ideas?

Sometimes this happen , because the router not configured correctly .
first you should remove the network cable between the router and the modem after that reset the router ,i mean there is one small button on the back side of the router , long press on it for 13 second , after that connect it direct to your pc and see what the gateway will be and enter this ip address on your internet explorer. in connection type chose static connection and enter the ip address for the router and the gateway will be the modem ip address and you should put the dns ip it's from your "isp" like this i think it will work fine . |
