Question the newb wants answers! ...pls

Im thinking of buying a external hard drive so i could store big programs on it instead of taking up space on the actualcomputer. is it possible to do something like that eg. putting a full game on the external hard drive like world of warcraft and play it on the computer with out having any of the files actually on the computer

Any comments on this would be very helpful. Thks

You can put games, applications on an external but it all depends on what application and games.
There are games and programs that will run purely on a standalone drive but there are programs that will need to be re-installed,such as office or even Photoshop. since there are link with sytem32 folder or even the registry.
I think WOW supports standalone, once you've installed it on an external you can play it on another PC.
