Hey there CF
I recently called my Computer guy about teh ATI 4870, and he replied "Which one do you want, the 512 or 1Gig"???? Is the one gig out? Should i get the one gig instead of the normal 512, (i know it wont make too much of a difference, but this is GDDR5 we are taking about) WHat would the performance advantages be? SHould i get the 1Gig, Cause ill only be gaming on a 19" 1440x900 monitor. What do you think

You should be right getting the 512 mb, unless you plan to upgrade to a bigger monitor sometime in the near future. Basically, the more graphics memory your card has, the more pixels it can render without distorsion. Similar to a camera. The more megapixels in a camera, the bigger you can make the image before it starts to pixelate and loose quality. With a 19" monitor, 512 mb is more than plenty.

The 1 gig card isn't out yet. Or at least that's what I've gathered from a google search.

x2 has already been tested (http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3354&p=1)
it's better then the gtx280 in most tests while it's much cheaper.

I have a 22 inch 1650 x 1080 and I came from a 19 inch before that.I want to go even bigger (1920 x 1200) ,for gaming it makes a huge difference .Even for just multimedia and internet I would go at least 22 inch just for comfort.Once you have a large screeen you wont want to go back to a smaller.even the 22 inch are fairly affordable now.
