I want to swipe my laptop...how?

hey... i have a sony vaio laptop. it is about 3 years old, and has been used well over that period.

it has been on the school networks, had games played and as a result, getting rather slow.

i would like to swipe the laptop, and have a new start.

if anybody could tell me how to, that would be great!!

I think you mean "restore" your laptop, you will need the original recovery disc that came with the PC or that you burned for the PC.

If you didnt not get some from the factory, or burn them yourself then you will need to call the manufacturer. If they wont help you (large chance they wont). You will need to go purchase a copy of windows.

If you want to try linux go to www.ubuntu.com and download the .iso file, and make a bootup disc.

i think u mean u want to "wipe" your laptop... if so, just reinstall windows from your recovery disc
