Default 4870 X2 Benchmarks are Here!!

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...2325446,00.asp

Looks like a great card, except that in some games there's little to no difference, lets hope it's a driver issue that is fixable.

EDIT: Another review as well.

Finally! ...And Btw (not meaning to get off topic)Did you ever purchase that 28 inch Hanns g monitor? If so how does it look?

edit * after browsing through those previews it looks like the 4870 X2 really only gets better than the hd 4870 at 1920 x 1200 and higher res.with AA active.Which I was planning on getting a larger monitor anyways.I wonder if it will be like the 3870 x2 being that it would get more performance from from 2 separate hd 4870 cards?

Also it looks like nvidia is trying take some wind out of Ati's sails from their 4870 X2 release. Evga 280 GTX , $470 with rebate this makes it a hard decision if the X2 retails for $ 550

The 4870X2 will beat the 280 by a long ways, the 4870 is the 280's competitor at only $299.

I can't wait for the release of the X2, can't wait to see the personal results.

Yeah I guess it wont hurt to wait on some more tests from different people.I have to wait for the intel price cuts anyways before I start building a new comp.

I was wondering since it so cheap for its size.a lot of people say you need $ 1,000 or more to even get a decent 24 inch I really dont want to spend that much just to get a 1900 x1200 large screen so this may be a nice option.
