Default raid 5?

ok, so my question is with raid 5, and 1tb size drive disks, how many terabytes would i see if i used 3 of them, would i see only 2 tb, or the full three?

you would see 2 because raid 5 backs up all the files.

so, your saying if i had 4 of the 1tb's i would be able to see 3 tb's?

yes, the equ. is s * (n - 1)/n

s being space
n being number of drives

When you have built the array, and installed the raid driver, you partition and format like you have always done. Seen from the software, it is just one big drive.
