Default Fried Laptop

Hi everybody, it's my first post here.
I have a big problem with my laptop, a Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO M1451G with 1GB RAM. Yesterday the power supply fell down from a table while I was using the computer, which suddenly turned off. Since then, everytime I turn my computer on, it displays the boot screen (NOT the Windows XP start screen), but stops there, and I cannot access the BIOS menus by hitting F2 or F12.
So I'm trying to understand if I can do anything before calling assistence (even because my guarantee has already expired, and I would have more convenience in buying a new one rather than having it fixed by a technician).
The hard-disk is still functional, since after the crash I could backup all the data connecting it to a desktop PC, as well as (I think) the graphic card, since the (static) boot-screen is correctly displayed.
What I wonder is to know if there is a way to understand what was damaged (CPU? RAM? BIOS chip? In the last case I could easily substitute it)...Also, is there a way to remove/change the RAM of this computer? When I opened the laptop, I couldn't find the RAM slot, I think it is under the keyboard, but I don't know how to remove it.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, there's no computational value in the power brick. However, you had that brick connected to the laptop and so that might have tremored the laptop as well. Maybe something like your hard drive bumped loose from its connection.
Did you hear any beeps when it started? Those beeps are telling you something.

does the keyboard work? maybe the plug for that fell off/loosened and the computer won't start without it being connected. i'd also check the mouse connector as well.

check the net for a tear down guide for the laptop. look for a guide for that family of laptops

Thanks for the answers. My power brick fell off while it was attached to the computer (and the battery was unconnected)...probably it happened a short, but when I later checked the power brick, it was ok...I don't hear any beeps when my computer starts, and I still haven't found a tear down guide for my laptop...I'll try to check the keyboard now...
Thanks!

Update:
What I need to know now is: are there any other laptop having the same chassis of AMILO M1451G (that means, having the same instructions for disassembling) ?

i checked their site and they said they don't have the manual for your specific model. perhaps there's one for a similar model:
