hello everyone, i was hoping someone could explain to me how to simply drag and drop a picture onto my desktop, or if that's even possible. i remember years ago i would be able to right click a picture, even on the internet, and one of the options was to place it onto the desktop. but that is no longer an option. now, if i were to drag and drop a picture, it turns into an icon. but i would like for there to be a way i can just add a picture here and there easily like that. i would appreciate any input on the subject!!

Do you mean set it as your desktop background?
If so when your on the internet and you find a picture you want as your background you just right click it and select Set as Desktop Background. If you have the picture saved to your computer then you can do the same as on the internet. Just open the picture and right click and select Set as Desktop Background OR in XP you can right click on your Desktop> Properties then select the Desktop tab>then click Browse and find your picture>then click Apply and OK. Hope this helped ![]()

actually what i'd like to do is just set pictures as a desktop "item". sorry i didn't specify. that use to be an option when right clicking. so i would do that for many pictures and make a collage which i could change on the desktop without going through "change desktop", etc. any ideas?
