Default Quake 5?

After playing Quake 4 and really liking it (single player at least), I'm wondering if there's any news of a sequel. I did a few searches and couldn't find anything apart from the odd spoof video by some die hard Quake fanboy. I'd love to see a sequel that could compete with some of the more recent games, on more recent hardware. Perhaps they might make it a little less streamlined too?

I don't think ID has announced a sequel yet, but I hope there will be one.

YAY! Another Quake 4 player! Awesome story and game ey.

There hasn't been any news on a Quake 5 yet. Let's hope there will be one.

Yeh I hope so. I'm looking at other games coming out soon, and Operation flashpoint 2 looks good too.

I loved the quake series. I even love Quake Wars and I would be tickled to death for a Quake 5. This game has a big enough following that I bet there will be a 5th.

entirely new story i think if they did make one.

i mean, for those who played 4 and know the ending, you'll get my point.

i know 2 and 4 are connected in some way, especially the Makron.
