Default For the laptop experts, hehe

i updated my E1705 by putting in a 7950 gtx, the best i can get for my laptop. the 90w power supply kept overheating and shutting off, so i went and bought a 130w supply. everything started to work fine, then the video card or processor was overheating and would totally shutoff the laptop. when i restart, it tells me the system got too hot and shutdown. it did this 3-4 times, and now when i try to boot, it shows the startup, when it gets about halfway through the load, it completely shutsoff. it keeps doing this. when i put the charger in, the charge light doesnt come on. i may have fried something, i dont think its too too bad, since i can at least turn it on and get halfway through the loading. can anyone maybe throw some ideas at me to what they think is wrong? appreciate it!

Looks like the POST boots half way... try replacing RAM. Disconect all devices that are not needed in the boot process, including the hdd. Maybe you can find what is fried

i too everything apart, put it back together and put the original card back in. same problem. so its not the card. i put back in the new card, swapped the memory around and it got past the "dell" screen then shut off. i think it has to do with not being able to hold power. the battery isnt charging, so, does anyone know the next step..?
