When browsing certain pages on firefox, The font shows up as some squiggly annoying font. This has happened on both laptops that I have owned. I have had the same font package on both laptops. I have tried replacing my new fonts with their old copies. I know I did it correctly so I think my system fonts settings has been effectively ruled out. Now I think that the only possibility lies in the firefox folder. Here is an example of a page that gets that stupid weird font (only when using firefox, IE runs it Fine.): http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/central/
I have taken a sample of the site code where the font error occurs that is here: "<head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/> <title>Getting Started with Firefox</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/util.js"></script> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/includes/yui/2.5.1/reset-fonts-grids/reset-fonts-grids.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/style/tignish/template.css" media="screen" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/style/tignish/content.css" media="screen" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="/includes/yui/2.5.1/yahoo-dom-event/yahoo-dom-event.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/includes/yui/2.5.1/container/container_core-min.js"></script> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/style/tignish/portal-page.css" media="screen" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/style/tignish/getting-started.css" media="screen" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="/includes/yui/2.5.1/utilities/utilities.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/mozilla-pager.js"></script> </head> " Here is a sample picture. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance. |

Most likely the default font was changed.
To change it back to "New Times Roman", please do the following. Tools > Options > Content > Fonts & colors should be listed as the second mini box. Change the default font back to "New Times Roman". Just in case the default font size was changed the default is "16". Hope that solved your problem.
