I was looking into getting a new CPU later on this year, now as far as i know L2 cache is short term memory for the CPU and the more it has the better it can multi-task. The two chips i was looking at is the Athlon X2 6400+ with 2x1Mb L2 cache and the Intel E8400 3.0GHz with 2x3Mb L2 cache. Am i right in saying that the Intel would handle multi-tasking and games better them the AMD.
Thanks

actually amd and intel are hand in hand in my opinion, amd is just focusing on different things right now. intel clocked its processors slightly higher and their chips have the ability to clock higher because they are 45nm, whereas amd is still using 65nm tech.
